Attended the Surgical camp at ShodhgramGadchiroli a hospital dedicated to the treatment of Poor Aadiwasis and locals in the remote area of Maharashtra and was part of the team which operated on more than 110 patients for Hernia Hydrocoele Hypospadias Cleft lip Thyroidectomies Hysterectomies for large fibroids etc
Very much impressed by the work done by the Team of SEARCH and Drs Rani and Abhay Bang
very high quality of epidemiological research and Home based Neonatal care delivery Network of Semi literate but highly trained and motivated Health workers and the their amazing levels of skills in managing a neonate in the remotest part of this country .
all in all it was an humbling as well as a great motivating experience henceforth will be the part of the annual pilgrimage to Gadchiroli
went back again in mid september did about 120 cases with newer and better equipped operating theaters in the new complex 6 tables
